Veteran Membership FAQ

Serving and transitioning military members pay $35 for their first year instead of $70, a saving of $35. You verify with your .mil email address. After the first year, membership renews at the regular $70 a year.

Email hello@grcengclub.com from any address with proof of service (a redacted DD-214 or your VA ID card) and we will issue your code by hand, usually within a business day. The .mil check is the fast path, not the only path.

Yes. Same certifications, same labs, same chapters, same community. The veteran rate changes the price and nothing else.

Your first year is $35 and it renews at the standard $70 a year, which is the same thing every other member pays. Cancel any time before renewal if you would rather not continue.

If you have a .mil address, yes. The rate exists for people moving from service into a GRC career, and we are not going to audit how close to the door you are.

No. The Club is not a VA-approved or COOL-listed training provider, so GI Bill and credentialing-assistance funds cannot be applied. The veteran rate is how we lower the cost instead: $35 for the first year, with every certification, lab, and exam included at no extra charge.

GRC is governance, risk, and compliance: helping an organization meet frameworks like NIST, FedRAMP, and CMMC and prove it. Service members already know how to live inside a framework, document to a standard, and own a chain of accountability, which is most of the job. Members with military backgrounds have moved into GRC analyst, compliance engineer, and FedRAMP roles; the GRC for Veterans guide linked below covers the twelve months before and after separation.
